Which of the following statements best explains how protein ex regulate gene expression?

Which of the following statements best explains how protein X regulates gene expression? Protein X is responsible for processing pre-mRNA. Protein X is responsible for activating transcription of some genes but not others.

Which of the following best explains what Strand X represents?

Which of the following explains what strand X represents? The antisense strand, because it is serving as a template.

How do proteins effect gene expression?

Binding of regulatory proteins to an enhancer sequence causes a shift in chromatin structure that either promotes or inhibits RNA polymerase and transcription factor binding. A more open chromatin structure is associated with active gene transcription.

How is gene expression regulated?

Specifically, gene expression is controlled on two levels. First, transcription is controlled by limiting the amount of mRNA that is produced from a particular gene. The second level of control is through post-transcriptional events that regulate the translation of mRNA into proteins.
