In kürzester Zeit soll der Chaos-Architekt Numerobis seiner launischen und spitznasigen Königin einen prächtigen Palast bauen. Sollte es ihm nicht gelingen, so wird ihn Kleopatra den Krokodilen zum Fraß vorgewerfen. Der Verzweiflung nahe wendet sich Numberobis an den gallischen Druiden Miraculix. Mit dem geheimnisvollen Zaubertrank gestärkt, reisen Asterix, Obelix und Miraculix samt Hündchen Indefix kurz darauf nach Ägypten, um Numberobis zu helfen. Die Bauarbeiten werden jedoch von dem hinterhältigen Pyradonis behindert, und die Freunde müssen - um die Lieferung neuer Steine zu sichern - ins Innere des Landes reisen. So erfahren wir endlich auch, weshalb die Sphinx heute keine Nase mehr hat und wie gefährlich ein Besuch der Pyramiden sein kann. Schließlich kommt der Bau mit Hilfe von Miraculix' Zaubertrank doch noch rasch voran. Bis zu dem Moment, als Cäsar die Sabotage der Bauarbeiten selbst in die Hand nimmt...

The Egyptian Queen Cleopatra bets against the Roman Emperor, Julius Caesar, that her people are still great, even if the times of the Pharaohs has long passed. She vows (against all logic) to build a new palace for Caesar within three months. Since all her architects are either busy otherwise or too conservative in style, this ambivalent honor falls to Edifis. He is to build the palace and be covered in gold or, if not, his fate is to be eaten by crocodiles. Edifis calls upon an old friend to help him out: The fabulous Druid Getafix from Gaul, who brews a fantastic potion that gives supernatural strength. In order to help and protect the old Druid, Asterix and Obelix accompany him on his journey to Egypt. When Julius Caesar gets wind of the project succeeding, he has the building site attacked by his troops in order to win the bet and not lose face. But just like the local pirates, he hasn't counted on Asterix and Obelix.
Unfortunately, Asterix & Obelix: Mission Cleopatra is not on Netflix. But you can't go too wrong with what is still considered the most popular streaming service, though. For $9.99 per month Basic, $15.99 Standard, or $19.99 Premium, you can enjoy a huge volume of TV shows, documentaries, kids content, and more.
At the time of writing, Asterix & Obelix: Mission Cleopatra is not available to stream on Hulu through the traditional account which starts at $6.99. However, if you have the HBO Max extension on your Hulu account, you can watch additional movies and shoes on Hulu. This type of package costs $14.99 per month.
Disney Plus is expanding, but their branding is still quite specific, and Asterix & Obelix: Mission Cleopatra is currently not available to stream there. You won't find Asterix & Obelix: Mission Cleopatra on HBO Max. However, the annual versions for both are cheaper, with the ad-free plan at $150 and the ad-supported plan at $100.
Unfortunately, Asterix & Obelix: Mission Cleopatra is not available to stream for free on Amazon Prime Video. However, you can choose other shows and movies to watch from there as it has a wide variety of shows and movies that you can choose from for $14.99 a month.
Asterix & Obelix: Mission Cleopatra is not available to watch on Peacock at the time of writing. Peacock offers a subscription costing $4.99 a month or $49.99 per year for a premium account. As their namesake, the streaming platform is free with content out in the open, however, limited.
Asterix & Obelix: Mission Cleopatra is not on Paramount Plus also. Paramount Plus has two subscription options: the basic version ad-supported Paramount+ Essential service costs $4.99 per month, and an ad-free premium plan for $9.99 per month.
